rock in rio
"Rock in Rio is a series of rock festivals held in Brazil and later in Portugal and Spain. Future festivals are planned in Poznań (Poland)
Three incarnations of the festival were in Rio de Janeiro, in 1985, 1991 and 2001, four in Lisbon, in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, and two in Madrid in 2008 and 2010. The shows were organized by entrepreneur Roberto Medina. In 2011, 2013, 2015 Rock in Rio may take place in Poznań on a reconstructed racing track.
Rock in Rio has been the largest rock festival in the world (1.5 million people in the first edition, 700 thousand in the second, about 1.2 million in the third, and about 350 thousand people in each of the 3 Lisbon editions."

Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong aka Dido born on 25th December 1971 in London, England and is an singer-songwriter. Dido shot to worldwide success with her debut album No Angel (1999). The album sold in excess of 16 million copies worldwide,and won several awards; including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act, two NRJ Awards for Best New Act and Best Album, and two BRIT Awards for Best British Female and Best Album. Her following album, Life for Rent (2003), continued her mainstream success with the help of popular singles "White Flag" and "Life for Rent". The album went on to sell around 12 million copies worldwide and saw her receive more accolades; including the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year for "White Flag", two further BRIT and NRJ Awards, as well as a Grammy Award nomination. Her third and latest studio album, Safe Trip Home (2008) received critical praise to help maintain her success.

It's sad my friends, It's sad...
It happened last night, Catarina Pereira LOST the Portugal Final to see what song will REPRESENT US in ESC for ONE POINT! Thanks to the judges (and by judges I mean Journalists or "Cantores de Rancho") this year we'll be represented by a Disney song!
Portugal gave 12 points to CATARINA PEREIRA, not to Little Mermaid! It's sad my friends, it's sad...

Tuesday Tune
Natalie Renee McIntyre aka Macy Gray, born on 6th September and is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress, famed for her distinctive raspy voice and a singing style heavily influenced by Billie Holiday and Betty Davis.
To date, Gray has released four studio albums, one compilation album, and one live album and has received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one. She has appeared in a number of films including Training Day, Spider-Man, and Idlewild. Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is. Gray opened up a music academy called The Macy Gray Music Academy in 2005. Gray has been highly praised for her work with the academy and has given underprivileged children and teenagers the chance to perform.

The Cranberries are an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1989 under the name The Cranberry Saw Us, later changed by vocalist Dolores O'Riordan. Although widely associated with alternative rock, the band's sound also incorporates indie, indie pop, rock, New Wave, Irish folk and pop rock elements. The Cranberries rose to international fame in the 1990s with their debut album, "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?", which became a high commercial success and sold over five million copies in the United States. The group was one of the most successful rock acts of the '90s and sold over 14.5 million albums in the United States alone. The band has achieved four top 20 albums on the Billboard 200 chart and eight top 20 singles on the Modern Rock Tracks chart In 2009 The Cranberries reunited. The band is currently on a North American tour, followed by dates in Latin America and Europe in early 2010.

Tuseday Tune
Daniela Sofia Korn Ruah on born December 2, 1983 is a Portuguese actress who currently plays Kensi Blye in the CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles. She started her career in Portugal. Her first acting role came at the age of 16, when she auditioned for a soap opera Jardins Proibidos, and cast for the role of Sara. She kept working on diverse projects, as well as finishing high school. At the age of 18 moved to London, England to do a B.A. in Performing Arts at the London Metropolitan University. Having finished with a first class Honors, Daniela returned to Portugal to pursue more work. She was given principal roles in television series, short films, theatre and in 2007 moved to New York to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and pursue her career.
